With the usage of Oracle SOA Suite 11g on top of Oracle Managed Cloud Services, S&P Solutions delivered a set of services to consolidate all the loyalty programs of the company. Every time you go to a cafeteria and redeem your points, an S&P Solutions service is being used. All the loyalty information is in Siebel. Within Siebel the loyalty programs are configured. SOA Suite is the middleware layer to expose the loyalty API to the different brands.

This company has a long history with Oracle SOA Suite. They are an Oracle BPEL 10g customer. More than 70 services are built on top of Oracle SOA Suite 10g and 11g. The project is to migrate all those services into Oracle SOA Suite 12c. S&P Solutions has been working since May 2015 to deliver this migration. Currently all services are migrated and being tested in the new 12c release. All is built on top of an Oracle Super Cluster.

This supermarket chain has divided its operation after a competitor bought part of their stores. Right after they were bought, a need to divide their systems was imminent. They needed a good solution to do it and SOA was the right way to do it. Since they are early adopters of Oracle SOA Suite 11g, they already had in place a set of bpel processes that help them to integrate Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, their PoS and some other legacy systems. Via SOA Suite they managed (with the S&P Solutions support) to divide the operation and identify when an specific transaction is for anyof the companies. S&P Solutions delivered this solution in less than 2 months.

This corporation has a long history with Oracle Access Manager and Identity Manager Solutions. Since the early days of Oblix and Sun Identity Manager, they’ve been using it. Since December 2014, S&P Solutions has been supporting them to migrate all their Oblix and Sun Access Manager policies, into Oracle Access Manager. The company had been struggling with other Oracle partners who couldn’t make this migration. Now the customer is around the 80% of migrated policies with the help of S&P Solutions.

S&P Solutions also took part in the implementation Assessment of the customer carried out on SOA throughout Latin America. SOA Suite 11g and 10g Infrastructure stabilization project. Implementation for this customer has already had for over a year and a half, where S&P Solutions contributed to achieve stability in the environments. An assessment to the implementation from another provider was also delivered. During this project we had the opportunity to use the Oracle AIA PIPs for Order to Cash (Siebel-BRM). We installed them, used them and within the assessment we made some improvements.

Implementation of Enterprise Service Bus for this company. This project is completed, and basically the goal was to achieve the initiation in the use of SOA in the company. The project involved the use of standards identified by the TeleManagement Forum, a standard model (Shared Information Model-SID) and a SOA Governance initiative and implementation. S&P Solutions also implemented SOA services for the MVNE project. For the SOA projects, the CLIENT and S&P Solutions won the Fusion Middleware Award for SOA / BPM on the Oracle global event held in San Francisco (Oracle Open World 2013). About 20 services involving the integration of Siebel and Oracle E-Business Suite were developed. This project used SOA Suite 11g, Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle ADF, Oracle Weblogic, and Oracle BPM. It is noteworthy that Oracle On Demand was also used, so there is experience working on this type of PaaS. In this project the implementation of Oracle WebCenter Content, and Oracle Document Capture was also performed, as well as creating multiple applications with Oracle ADF according to their needs.

Migration project from SOA services to Oracle Service Bus 11g using JMS and FIX financial standard. Looking to standardize the composition of enterprise-level services and optimize the performance of the company interoperability platform with their counterparts in the financial market. The other project is a TMS (Transfer Management System) based on SOA Suite, and an important load on Business Rules component, Oracle BAM and Oracle Service Bus. Many of the company Payments will go through this TMS, which points out how important, critical and transactional the system can be.

Implementation of most of the Oracle security stack and Identity Management was conducted. This is a reference case in Oracle Mexico. Products such as Oracle Identity Manager, Oracle Access Manager and Oracle Adaptive Access Manager were used. SAML was used for identity propagation. This project is in progress. A fairly big application of the insurance company regarding SOA components is being migrated to the Oracle SOA Suite platform. This application is currently built with the Software AG suite, so the challenge is to migrate those platform services to the Oracle SOA Suite. Intensive use of Service Bus, Oracle BPEL PM, Oracle Mediator, Technology Integration Adapters and Oracle BAM will be performed. Also in this project, Webcenter Content and WebCenter Document Capture were implemented, as well as the creation of an application with Oracle ADF.

Migration Project of their nationwide Intranet. This Intranet is built on SUN Portal, and the goal of the project is to move it to Oracle WebCenter Portal / Spaces. The project was mentioned as a reference because of the client’s relevance, and because it has the peculiarity of having to be integrated with the JAVA SUN Access Management platform. In this sense, integration is a challenge as this product is no longer supported by Oracle, and it is not certified to be used with WebCenter. However, even with those complications, the S&P Solutions team is successfully performing the integration. This is being achieved due to the wide security knowledge the team has and its capabilities.

This project is also finished, and we are in the support and maintenance phase of the operation. The project is entirely SOA. The intention is to generate a series of services for integration between Point of Sale, Call Center and other applications the client has such as Siebel, Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle PeopleSoft. It also requires integration with Zyncro (which is a platform for communities) that resides in the cloud, so we had to make use of APIs based on the Cloud concepts. This company is also a client of Oracle On Demand, so S&P Solutions worked again with PaaS environments

This project involves the integration of multiple enterprise applications through a SOA architecture based on the Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g platform. To achieve this integration, we’ve been working on the design, construction and deployment of services, as well as a canonical reference model, development guidelines and architecture governance, standards and security best practices. The goal of this initiative, besides improving the current performance of the technology platform is to provide clients with appropriate mechanisms to reduce the time-to-market in generating technological elements that support the new vertical market.

Another project that we are working with them is around Oracle Identity and Access Manager. Oracle Access Manager to protect: PeopleSoft, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Sharepoint, Oracle BI, Oracle BAM and legacy applications. Oracle Identity Manager to manage user for SAP, PeopleSoft, Microsoft AD, Microsoft Exchange, Legacy Systems, Sharepoint, CRM Dynamics and a cloud-based application by the name Formiik. Also OPAM is being installed and configured, as well as Oracle Adaptive Access Manager. Oracle Unified Directory is the repository for Oracle Access Manager.

Financial services for real state located in Costa Rica

This financial group is one of the largest customers for Oracle Costa Rica. They have an Oracle SOA Suite implementation to integrate their internal systems and also to expose Services for their mobile application and third parties. S&P Solutions implemented the Security layer for access control of the services. A mix of Oracle API Gateway and Oracle Access Manager is being used. Also Oracle Unified Directory has been implemented. Oracle API Gateway is a key piece for this implementation. It is exposing, protecting a set of APIs that serve the mobile platform for Mutual Alajuela.

This financial corporation is a very large bank in Ecuador. They’ve been using Oracle SOA Suite 11g for around a year, but they want to move forward to give service to all their branches. S&P Solutions travel to Ecuador to make an assessment to their implementation and guide them on how to go-live in all of their branches. S&P Solutions is looking to add value from the architecture perspective and cloud perspective.
